SCOPE constitution

An Overview of our Organization SCOPE is a student organization at UNLV that focuses on environmental issues facing Southern Nevada, and the entire planet as well. To learn more about our origin, visit our history page. If you are thinking about joining then refer to our joining page for more info. Meet the members and see some of the stuff we've done, including our trip to Zion National Park last summer, at our portfolio page! Besides discussing the politics of our environment, we also focus on the element of nature, increasing our awareness on the survival arts. By taking many camping and nature trips, we escape city life to find out what our earth is all about. To learn more about opportunities such as these, check out the UNLV Outdoor Adventure's homepage. Meetings are held every two weeks at tentative times. Currently, we have not yet had any meetings this semester. We are in the process of reorganizing. However, check back here regularly and visit the meetings page. Find out when our next meeting is, or review meeting notes from previous gatherings. Whether you are in the group and want to know what happened, or just an outsider and curious about what we talk about, you can check out the information on that page. In case you were wondering what some of the environmental political issues are in our world today, or on campus for that matter, check out the Sierra Club's homepage for a more in depth look at these issues. Also check out their child organization, the Sierra Student Coalition. There is additional information on these issues and others similar to them at the UNLV Environmental Studies Department webpage. Download the Staccato font, the official font for SCOPE in zip format (PC Only). If the the font for our logo "SCOPE" matches the font for "Students Conscious of Protecting the Environment" above, then you already have the font. Quick instructions: Unzip, then save font file to c:\windows\fonts folder. |
