Internships and Scholarships
Internships
Internships are a very important part of college and they are a great way for students to start making contacts and start making their way into the professional world of their specific field of study. Internships are also mandatory. Journalism and Media Studies undergraduates must complete an internship in order to graduate. More information on internships in the communications field can be found on the UNLV Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies website and at UNLV Career Services.
Scholarships
Students majoring in journalism and media studies who maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above are eligible for scholarships offered by the school. Some scholarships have specific eligibility requirements and are awarded in the spring for the following academic year. Please contact the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies scholarship chair.
