ASC MEMBERSHIP

As a member of the Association of Students in Communication (ASC) you may affiliate with one of the following: Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), the American Advertising Federation (AdFed), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and Women in Communications (WIC). Each organization offers an abundance of networking opportunities, scholarships, and professional services for all members.

As a member, you can get involved in numerous national programs, gain exposure to professional development, leadership development, educational and networking opportunities.

Scholarships

Thousands of dollars are awarded annually through the various ASC organizations (AdFed, IABC, PRSSA, SPJ and WIC).

Internships

Members of the professional organizations offer qualifying members valuable internships - many of them paid.

Luncheons

AdFed, IABC, PRSA, and WIC hold monthly luncheon meetings at various restaurants throughout the Las Vegas valley. The luncheons offer incredible networking opportunities for members.

Exposure

Not only does ASC membership offer networking opportunities, it also offers members the chance to gain exposure and experience - a must for every resume.

Travel Opportunities

Members may travel to the AdFed, IABC, PRSA, and WIC National Conferences, or Regional Activities. Work sessions, resume critique, and more are available.
