MISSION STATEMENT
To enhance communication
and interaction among students interested in Anthropology.
To contribute to the Anthropology program of the University of
Nevada, Las Vegas.
To provide a social and intellectual setting that augments the
Anthropology Curriculum of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
CONSTITUTION
1. Name: The name of the
organization shall be The Anthropological Society of the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
2. Membership: The Membership of the Society shall consist of
paid Members and Associate Members who are in good standing.
2.1 Member: Registered student in the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas and who is in the Anthropology program.
2.2 Associate Member may not vote or hold office or be entitled
to the privileges of Membership. Dues assessment is the same as
for a Member.
2.3 Dues: Dues assessment shall be in the amount of fifteen
dollars per academic year or ten dollars per semester, payable
at the start of either the spring or fall semester.
3. Officers: The society shall have the following Officers:
3.1 The President
3.2 The Vice-President
3.3 The Secretary
3.4 The Treasurer
3.5 A Society Representative to Student Government (May Be One
of the Above)
3.6 An Academic Adviser (Faculty Member)
4. Amendments: This Constitution shall be amended by a simple
majority vote by proctored ballots.
5. Meetings: There shall be up to four meetings per month, once
a week. These weekly meetings will be held in a specified room
at time selected by a majority vote of members during the first
meeting of the semester.
5.1 Meetings can be convened by the Officers or Member in the
absence of Officers.
