Philanthropy
The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta are committed to serving the community. Our philanthropy is the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation which donates money to juvenile diabetes as well as various other charities and provides scholarships and grants.
Each year we host two of our own philanthropy projects, Battle of the Gods and Rock-a-thon.
Our Battle of the Gods philanthropy takes place in the Fall and is a week long competition between the fraternities. Each fraternity competes to see who can raise the most money for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation by participating in a variety of events including the annual chariot race, skits, and other fun and entertaining activities..
Rock-a-thon occurs in the Spring and is in conjunction with the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. This event consists of 72 hours of continuous rocking in our giant rocking chair, which we place in the middle of the UNLV campus.
AGD also participates in various other philanthropy events held by other fraternities, sororities, UNLV and the Las Vegas community.
